What grants are available

SEAI grants cover most of the renewable upgrades we install. Here is what each one is worth. The heat pump figure is the maximum, made up of up to €6,500 for the heat pump itself plus bonuses for replacing an old oil or gas boiler.

Eligibility depends on the home and measure. Solar PV and heat pump grants generally require a home built and occupied before 2021, while MVHR support is available through the One Stop Shop route. For an individual grant, you apply directly to SEAI and wait for approval before work starts. We guide you through the steps, provide our registered contractor details and supply the required installation documents. A registered One Stop Shop can apply on a homeowner's behalf for a qualifying complete home upgrade.

For an individual grant, SEAI pays the approved amount after the work, required documents and any inspection are complete. Payment goes to the bank account nominated on the claim. A registered One Stop Shop route works differently and deducts the grant upfront.

It depends on the grant and SEAI processing times. You must apply and receive approval before work starts. We provide the contractor information and installation documents promptly, and keep you updated on the parts of the process we handle.

Yes. The SEAI grant is applied first to reduce the overall cost, and finance through our lending partner covers the balance if you would rather spread the payments.
